Summary
Smashing 2020
How do you stay on top in next year's retail landscape? Every channel, every interaction, every opportunity? From having to keep up with the next generation trends, to reimagining store environments to capture those “grammable moments,” 2020 will bring even more change to the industry.
These days the challenge is not just about selling product, it's about providing your customer with a complete experience, with some brands still failing to impress “post-purchase”. Some brands, who are doing it better with more conversions online are merging buying, entertainment and engagement to experience both physically and online, what they call - ‘Retailtainment’.
Consumers continue to develop their engagement with technology, so forward-thinking retailers must continue to adapt. Spending some time at the start of 2020 benchmarking yourselves against your peers, setting clear objectives that will enable you to analyse the needs, preferences, and attitudes of the changing consumer will be critical if you are to truly Smash the year!
Efficient omnichannel trading is the industry's biggest weapon high growth brands have against the major players. Know your audience. Quality omnichannel strategy isn’t about being everywhere, it's about being everywhere your target market is.
Our breakfast event welcomed retail industry professionals to benchmark, network, and learn more to conquer the business over the next year and beyond. Our conference well and truly set-up our audience to Smash 2020!
Throughout the morning, we asked the following questions -
- How do you stay on top in next year's retail landscape?
- Capturing those “grammable moments”
- ‘Retailtainment’
- Engagement with technology
- Omnichannel selling, the future of retail?
