Remaining focused on the end game
The pressure for transformation is growing exponentially within organisations, leaders across every business are reacting to an acceleration in expectations, deadlines and targets never before experienced.
The shift required to transition established complex organisations into digital powerhouses is challenging at best, and so AWS are creating the Exec Leaders Forum to make it possible for leaders from across the UK and Ireland, commercial and public sectors to share and learn from one another.
In our first session on 13th May we created a relevant free-flowing exchange with fellow senior executives to get “out of the weeds” and ensure focus on the end goal. Whether that goal is a new operating model, upcoming business strategy reviews or a need for more agile working practices – our Chatham House environment for execs of all disciplines promised inspiration, insightful discussion and support from peers.




At our first gathering over a “virtual dinner” – we invited individuals to participate in a facilitated discussion regarding:
- Why do some organisations transform faster than others?
- How do we keep our organisations focused on strategic goals?
- How do we optimise for speed whilst transforming at scale?

Niall is responsible for the LEGO Groups e-commerce, retail, marketing customer and consumer facing technology. He joined the LEGO Group in 2016 where we was responsible for all shopper-related digital solutions and was promoted to his current role in March 2021 with an expanded remit to look after all technology that enables shopper and customer experiences, transactions and engagement. Niall has been defining and building e-commerce, marketing and retail technology solutions for leading brands for nearly 20 years. Prior to the LEGO Group he was responsible for e-commerce and digital marketing for ACCO brands, a leading global office and consumer products company as well as retailers such as ToysRUs and UNIQLO.
