All across Europe brand owners are tooling up to engage directly with their customers across every channel. Cross-border digital commerce has arrived, and with a greater consumer appetite for new brands and experiences - the competition for engagement is increasing.
“Brand” is being redefined at the same time. Today every brand is measured by its storytelling, physical & digital experience, and just as importantly the levels of service offered after a purchase is made. Many brands we speak to are worried that their storytelling doesn’t match the experience customers get, so we created “Brand Commerce” to explore this challenge.
We created a stimulating debate for those challenged with delivering increased online revenue whilst maintaining the brand’s value. We delivered an engaging speaker from a MACH brand owner, a structured conversation and a delicious meal within a Chatham House environment.
Over dinner we discussed:
- Increasing online revenue without over-discounting

Benjamin Abbenseth has been responsible for Victorinox's online marketplace business since July 2017. His focus is on the harmonization and coordination of global activities on Amazon, as well as the support of all marketplaces, including JD and Tmall in China. Before that, Benjamin worked for Rotho Kunststoff AG, a leading European manufacturer of plastic household products, for almost 10 years. In his last position as head of e-commerce, he managed online marketing and marketplace management in addition to his own web shop.
