Summary
Feel the Power of the Force
2023 has been another stellar year for the MACH movement. The Uk leads the way, and yet there are some headwinds in differentiating MACH from Composable, in staying relevant for smaller companies trying to adopt the architecture. At the same time, the first customers who went live are starting to switch out vendors within their stacks, leading to a different type of conversation about the sustainability of some SaaS vendors.
Our third ChristMACH dinner will be (as always) a celebration of MACH, but for the “MACH curious” a fascinating evening where we will explore (warts and all) the current successes and challenges facing MACH in 2024, and how economic hardship might affect this adoption.
We will, as always, feature an opening speaker from a MACH adopting customer, and they will start our evening off with some insights and stories from the frontline. Bring your curiosity, your “work-friends”, and prepare to pull your first cracker of Xmas 2024 MACH-style.
Over dinner we will debate:
- What are the current pain points you are facing with your MACH stack? And how do you plan on tackling this in 2024?
- Who will your target market be? And can your MACH stack accommodate different industries?
- Why do professionals not experience the same as B2C or B2B? Can your MACH stack be the solution to help fix that?

Paul always struggles with summary biographies as they tend to focus too much on careers, which is only one part of a life story. The elevator pitch bio for Paul would therefore be: Dad, husband, distinctly average guitar player with a passion for writing, a curious mind and a fascination for the use of technology in retail. His focus on technology strategy as a career allows him to try and predict the future, through both a technology and a business lens. In retail, of course, this is easier said than done.
