Subscription Addiction Europe
Virtual
Summary
Virtual Event
Subscription models are on the rise, and it’s not just because they can offer regular cashflow. But because they provide great insight into customer behaviours and a barrier to your fiercest competitors.
More and more retailers are adapting their business model to meet customers evolving needs when it comes to replenishment - gone are the days we pop to the shop on a lunch break from the office.
Many FMCG brands are focusing on DTC sales and subscription models look to be popular for many household essentials. Driving sales back to their own eCommerce sites rather than third party sales is important, but it can’t just be that first time purchase - calculating your MMR should also remain at front of mind. Are you churning customers to see growth or are you nurturing the loyal ones?
Retailers with subscription services already in place say it’s allowing them to increase their customer contact for them to build better customer relationships by 82%! So there's no wonder subscriptions within retail jumped 50% within the first UK lockdown, with food boxes, wine and grooming leading the way.
At our morning conference, our audience heard from a number of brands within Europe who shared their journeys into the subscription world, the challenges they faced and the data they have collected. There was also the opportunity to discuss with peers what the ideal strategy was and how to predict consumer buying behaviours and the change.
- How do you entice your ideal customer into regular purchases?
- What are the key success factors and limitations of the business model?
- Personalisation - do the algorithms pick the right products?
- MRR (monthly regular revenue) vs One-off purchase
- What are the off-the-shelf solutions that you can use to launch your own?
